The restaurant is in a revitalized warehouse and a bowling alley takes up the back. Games are pretty steep at $40 an hour though so after dinner we took to the patio.

Pinewood Social is huge, but let's start with the bar.

It's not often I say "Yeah, that's a $13 cocktail!" But that's definitely how I felt about the mezcal based concoction I started my night with.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Follow it up with a banging lobster mac and cheese, and this was definitely one birthday meal worth traveling for. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was certainly made all the better by having good friends with me, but there's actually a lot more to a night at Pinewood Social.

When I was on my RTW trip, I spent my first birthday away from home. I was in Athens and enjoyed exploring the Acropolis and its museum by day, but after sundown it was my first night alone in an unfamiliar city, there was a travel advisory for a political march through the neighborhood where I was staying, and I realized I had never celebrated without friends or family.
So I basically just cooked myself dinner and cried.
1 year later, I made very different plans and road tripped to Nashville with my boyfriend and met friends at Pinewood Social...
